Looking for a connection to the surnames Harmon and Alford. I have a letter c 1920's that simply states daddys sister married a "Harmon". Believe the man being referenced in letter was an Alford.

I don't know where your letter was from but in Daviess County Indiana William Harmon married Indiana Alford but they were married in 1840.

This couple is not my lineage but thank you kindly for your assistance. I believe my Harmon-Alford connection orginated in Arkansas, perhaps Pulaski Co.

Racheal Alford daughter of Julius Alford and Ann Hays Alford (Byrum) married on 21 April 1831 Cornelius Achilles Harmon Little Rock Arkansas. (Rachel is listed as step-daughter to Captain Jeremiah Byrum of Hot Springs Countuy Arkansas.)Known children born to Rachel (various spellings) Alford Harmon and Cornelius Achilles Harmon are Amanada Harmon, Mary Harmon, John Harmon and Susan Harmon.

I don't know where this letter is from but in Daviess County Indiana there is Indiana Alford who married William Harmon. Her father was James Alford and mother was Hannah Baker. Both of them were from Virginia. William Harmons parents were Thomas Harmon and POlly Demoss. Both of them were from Kentucky. Also, William and Indianas daughter Hannah Alford Harmon married Virgil Alford. Also from Daviess County Indiana
