Augustin was born Feb 25 1745 in Varennes He married Marie Joseph Peyit feb 15 1768
in Varennes, a son Timothy Messier nov 3 1814 canada died sept 17 1878 in Michigan

Thanks you for update. If possible can you provide clues as to resources for the dates and names. I hope to travel to Canada/Michigan/New York/France in a few years and need as many starting places/resources for data as possible.

Gale after reviewing the information you sent, I don't believe the scenario you developed is possible or probable. If Augustin was born 2/25/1745 and his son was born 11/3/1814, then Augustine would have been 69 years old at his son's birth. More importantly Augustine's wife Marie, who you show as married to Augustine on 2/15/1768, would have been married to him for 45 years before giving birth to Timothy.

If there is compelling evidence to support the relationships in spite of the dates, please let me know.

I have some info about Flavia & Timothy's daughter Aurelia. Aurelia Messier is my Husbands P.Gr. Gr. Grandmother . Aurelia married Joseph Bolduc 11/10/1865 . I am interested in info about Timothy & Flavia and their parents and so on.

I came across some information on the LDS site "FamilySearch International Genealogical Index" that indicated that Timothee Messier b 11/3/1814 in Varennes is the son of Christophe Messier and Marie Anne Girard. Also found that Christophe Messier was christened on 9/15/1780 in Ste. Anne, Varennes and is the son of Christophe Messier and Marie Martin. The Timothy you are looking for is spelled a little differently and you indicated was born in 1815 so its possible they are not the same person. I haven't tried verifying any of this information at this point but will be doing further research in the future.

Timothy and Flavia are my great grandparents with their son John (King) my great grandfather. King's son was Timothy and he was my grandfather and my mother was Lucille Messier.

I have a photo of Timothy and Flavia taken in NY in about 1860 before they moved to Marquette.

I know that my grandfather Timothy had Fleury cousins because one of his Aunt's married Abraham Fleury. I presume you are related to those descendants.

Hi William. We corresponded about 4 years ago. Timothy and Flavia had a son James who married Melvina Votraw. They had a son Philip James Messier (Felix Messier) who married Myrta Haynes. Their Son Donald was my father. I hope that helps round out the picture. Have you been able to find copies of either marriage documents or birth documents for either Timothy or his wife Flavia?
