Samuel HALL was born on 15 May 1802 in ?Stark Co., OH?. He died on 4 Sep 1885 in Stark Co., OH. He was buried in Crossroads Cem., Stark Co., OH.

Samuel HALL was married to Susannah SWIGERT on 23 Sep 1827 in Stark Co., OH. Susannah SWIGERT was born on 15 May 1811 in Pennsylvania. She died on 21 Jun 1879. She was buried in Crossroads Cem., Stark Co., OH. Samuel HALL and Susannah SWIGERT had the following children:

I. Catherine HALL was born on 28 Nov 1831 in Stark Co., OH. She died on 16 Dec 1916 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe Co., IN. She was buried in IOOF Cem., Hartford City, Blackford Co., IN. Catherine HALL was married to Christopher CLAPPER on 3 Aug 1854 in Stark Co., OH. Christopher CLAPPER was born in 1832 in Stark Co., OH. He died on 22 Jan 1865 in Huntsville, Limestone Co., AL. He was buried in ?IOOF Cem., Hartford City, Blackford Co., IN?. Pvt., Co. K, 51st IN Inf., Civil War Catherine HALL was married to David HESS on 29 Dec 1870 in Blackford Co., IN. David HESS was born on 28 Feb 1830 in Pennsylvania. He died on 17 Dec 1887 in Blackford Co., IN. He was buried in Elizabethtown Cem.., Delaware Co., IN.



II. Susan HALL was born on 4 Nov 1841 in Stark Co., OH. She died on 12 Mar 1883. She was buried in Crossroads Cem., Stark Co., OH.

Any information about the origins and further children of Samuel HALL would be appreciated.

If we are looking for the same Samuel Hall born 15May1802 in Stark Co., OH I have two more children to add to Catherine and Susan, namely, Elizabeth and Alfred K. I have no birthdates for either one. Elizabeth was my ggrand-mother. On 09Oct1861, she married John McWhinney. He was born 13Jun1835 in Stark Co. His parents were John R. McWhinney, born 1787 in North Ireland and Nancy Wholf, born Abt. 1815 in PA. Have spent too much time researching Roush Family that I now need to continue search of Hall-McWhinney line.

Do you have any additional information on the origins and ancestry of Catherine Swigert? I would be interested in learning more and determining if she is related to my ancestry of Stark Co.

I am a decendent of Samuel Hall through his daughter, Elizabeth, who married John B. McWhinney. My grandmother, Wilda McWhinney, was the daughter of Cullen McWhinney and Sibbie Reed. She married Roy E. Bixler. Would be interested in sharing information with others related to this family.
