Trying to find birth record of Norton STRUBLE or alias Norton MARKLEY born June 15, 1880-1883, Findlay, Ohio. It is not online at FamilySearch and our Family History Center in Toledo is closed for remodeling until at least May. Are there birth records located at the courthouse, clerk's, or health department for this time period? Could drive to Findlay for this info.

A Norton Markley registered for the WWI draft in Philadelphia, PA on Sept. 12, 1918. He said he was born 15 Jun 1880 but that form did not ask for his birthplace. The clerk wrote Markly but Norton signed it MarklEy.

There is also a Norton Markley in the SSDI with that birthdate. His Social Security application should include his parents' names, etc. but try the court or library first. A copy of Norton's SS-5 (application) costs $27.
