Looking for information on Moses Killion/Killian b. ca. 1844 Mo. , d. ca. 1928 in Wright co. , Mo. . Married (ca.) 1868 to Mary Dianna Ussery b. Mar. 27, 1852 Mo. , d. Dec. 29, 1918 , (prob. Wright Co.) .Mary Dianna Ussery was the daughter of Thomas H. Ussery and Mary Ann Sebers of Dallas Co., Mo. , ( Thomas H. Ussery was the son of Peter Ussery and Catherine Diana Atkinson of Wright Co., Mo. Moses Killion Homesteaded land in 1885 , near Norwood , there was also a Perry Killian with land near Moses .
I am trying to find the parents and siblings for Moses Killion/Killian , I believe he may be the brother of my g.g.grandmother, (Mary) Catherine Killion , wife of Sylvester Ussery of Dallas and Hickory Co.s, Mo. ( another son of Peter Ussery and Catherine Diana Atkinson ) .
I have an old photo which belonged to my g.grandmother, Josephine Ussery McDonald, which has written on the back , " Uncle Moses Killion " , the picture is of an elderly man and woman , with seven adult children ( four men and two women) and one young girl, so there must be Descendants out there somewhere !

I have a Moses Killian In Bollinger Co, MO in 1860, 23 yrs of age. He is living with Phillip Killian and family (Phillip age 30) Moses is not on the 1870 census.

Kay , thank you for the response , I have suspected that Moses could be connected to these Bollinger Co. Killians , I have seen the name Philip used in my Line. Do you have any other info. on this Philip Killian and could you post the census page that they are found on in 1860 ?

I haven't had any luck finding info on Moses' parents. Here is a pic of Moses and his wife Dianne Ussery.
I have recently found this though...
KILLIAN, MOSES: Age: 24. Enlisted as Private in Co B 12 Sep 1862 in Cape Girardeau County. Deserted 20 Oct 1862. Returned to command at date not of record. Deserted 10 Jul 1863. According to other records, he was captured in Bollinger County, MO, on 1 Dec 1862. Incarcerated initially at St. Louis, he was sent to City Point, VA for exchange 4 Mar 1863. See Eakin, Missouri Prisoners of War, n.p. Died 25 Nov 1928 and is buried in Thomas Cemetery, Norwood, Wright County, MO.

Here is what I have on Moses Killion/Killian. He is in the 1860 Census of Bollinger County, Missouri in the home of a Phillip Killian and family. The children's names are very light and hard to read. His father as well as I can determine is David Killian born about 1803 in Lincoln County, North Carolina, died after 1860 in Bollinger County, Missouri and mother is Isabell or Isabella LNU born in 1818 in Kentucky. She is in the 1870 census of Bollinger County living with her daughter Pricilla Seaborn. David's parents are Philip Killian and Mary Hoskins. Philip was born abt. 1766 in Rowan County, North Carolina. Philip was the son of John Killian born in 1729 in Steinbach, Germany.
