Samuel Luther Turner, who is buried in the Mt. Taber Cemetery near Arno, Douglas County, Missouri, was murdered 18 July 1919 on the Fred Loesch farm near Sitka, Clark County, Kansas.

No one was ever convicted of the murder although both Mrs. Coral Turner and Fred Loesch were both tried and acquitted for the crime.

Thanks for posting this information Jerry. Sam and his sister Ada were cousins of my grandmother. I also believe they grew up in the same area of Williams Hollow as my grandmother did near Arno
