I am trying to research my paternal family name of NUNCIO.
I've traced my greatgrandfather PEDRO NUNCIO back to NUEVO LEON, MEXICO. Where he was born in 1857.

Greatgrandfather lived his life in SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS. USA.
Some of his family lived in LOUISIANA. USA.

Does anyone know if the name NUNCIO is many in SPAIN ??
If so what part ???

I'm new at this research any ANY HELP is very appreciated.

PEDRO NUNCIO'S wife was a TORRES OR TORREZ.
Thank You.

Hello--I've done extensive research in the Basque Country of Spain and Torres is one of my "antipasados". Catalina Dorotea Torres-born 1801 in Azpilcueta, Spain; Joaquin Torres, born 1765 in Arizcun, and Martin Francisco Torres born 1736 in Arizcun as well. I've never run into the surname Nuncio, so it's probably not in the Basque area, but in another part of Spain. If I can help you in any way, feel free to contact me. I have a public tree for my Basque roots as well as my husband's American roots. It is called "Astiasuain-Maya/Purcell-Dobrinski"
