I am trying to find my grandfather's family. My grandfather was born in Cayenne French Guiana back in the 1890's his mother was Lizitine Serant, she was about 20 years old when my grandfather was born. There were more children born to her where have they all gone to. My grandfather went to Dominica at an early age and then on to other islands in the Caribbean. We know there were at least 4 more brothers. Two of my grandfather's siblings were John and James.Any one familiar with these names pleas respond. Thank you.

ok, im only 16 so my grandparents are younger than yours. and still alive. however i noticed that names in your family are similar to those in mine. for example my brothers name is louis Serrant and my grandfathers name is John Serrant. if you can find anyone in your family married to the surname 'John-Baptiste' surname. let me know. and also we are from Dominica.

Hi everyone. At the moment I'm seriously researching the Serrant/Serant family tree. Wow! Much of the info that I've come across on these boards fits in with what I already know. Linda - did your father live in Bradford, UK? If so, that's my great uncle James and my father is Philbert Charles son of Bernice Serrant, James's sister. I'm trying to get information on the Serrants related to Felicien and his cousin Mark, their siblings, cousins and the generation above. Any help from ANYONE would be appreciated. And if there's any info I can share, I'd love to...Hope to hear from you soon.

We have such an interesting family. A lot of us are trying to get to Dominica next year for the Creole Festival and the 30 year Independance celebrations in October\November.
