Hi! I'm looking for a family that emigrated to the US from Sweden in 1882 and 1883. They settled in Woodland, Aroostook, where I have found parts of the family through the census of 1900 and 1910. Are any of them familiar to any of you?

The members were;

Per(/Peter/Petter) Nilsson/Nelson, born in November 1833
Bothilda(/Thilda) Nilsson/Nelson, born in May 1839
Alfred Rudolph, 1870 13/9, Ostraby, Sweden
Johanna Sofia, 1873 7/8, Ostraby, Sweden
Maria(/Mary) Amelia, 1876 16/3, Ostraby, Sweden
Emil(/Amos) August, 1879 9/3, Ostraby, Sweden
Gustav Adolf, 1881 17/2, Ostraby, Sweden

In the census of 1900 and 1910 I have found the parents and the sons in Woodland town, Skidget road.

All the sons were at this point unmarried.

In the records of "Gustav Adolph Lutheran Church" in New Sweden, I have found that Peter and Thilda were members (Reception 1890) and when those records end, around 1925, there are still no notes about them having moved or died or anything else.

In the listings of Maine marriages I have found the following:
04-17-1909 Johanna S. Nelson, Woodland, Maine, married to Edward Lufkin, Woodland, Maine

In the census 1910, they are listed on Pratt Road. No children yet.

Furthermore, in the records of the above mentioned church, I found this;

11-14-1906 Mary A. Nelson, Woodland, Maine, married to Elbridge G. Pratt, Woodland, Maine.

Any help in locating these people and their children would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Anna Malm, Sweden

Hello Anna,
Your posting is so old that I'm not sure if your still looking for help or not. I don't have answers for you right now but I may be able to find them. But, before I spend a lot of time searching out your answers and replying to an inactive email address, could you please let me know if you are still seeking information?
I am working on a multi year project compiling information on ALL OF THE SWEDISH EMIGRANTS that ever came to the NEW SWEDEN, MAINE area - so if I don't have the information in my files right now, I may have within the next few months and I would love to help!
In the meantime I did look up this family on the Swedish emigration CD called emibas and have found their emigration record. (I'm sure that in the last 5 years you've recovered this also, but... just to let you know that I'm serious about my offer....)
The family emigrated from Orås 2,Östraby. Malmöhus län (Skåne ) on August 7, 1833. Some of the birth dates that are recorded on emibas differ from the ones shown (but I have found more than one mistake on the emibas records-but what genealogy record doesn't have mistakes) Anyway I'll give them to you here for something to ponder..
Nilsson, Per born 9/20/1834
Ellström, Botilla born 5/12/1839
Persson, Gustaf Adolf born 12/17/1881
Persson, Cal August born 3/9/1879
Persson, Alfred Rudolf born 9/13/1870
Persdotter, Maria Amelie born 3/16/1876
Persdotter, Johanna Sofia born 8/8/1873
Persdotter, Hilma born 7/7/1867
All the children except Hilma were born in Österby.
I hope to hear from you so that I can help you find your family.
Lynn Johnson
