Does anyone know how I can find where Lem Motlow was living in the Lynchburg area in 1910? He is listed living next door to my gggrandfather, John D. Womble and his wife, Ella. I want to try to find the area where they lived. Thanks.

Lem Motlow info should be easy to find in Lynchburg. Lem took over the Jack Daniels distillery from his uncle, "Jack" Daniels, around the time you are searching. In fact, when we took the distillery tour many years ago, I believe there were twins working there who were named Lem and Clem? Maybe his grandchildren?

I am jennifer motlow- I married into the motlow family 7 years ago. They are related to Lem and his relatives. I am interested in any information about Motlow history for my children (and husband). The note about the twins is interesting as I have identical twin boys named John Morgan and James and had not heard about Lem and Clem.

It appears that I have the wrong story AND the wrong set of twins! I apologize for any confusion I caused and will try and get the straight story before posting next time. The set of twins at Jack Daniels are NOT Motlows. Sorry if I put you on the wrong track, Jennifer.

Who were the twins? My GGGGGrandfather was Daniels Uncle. My mother was an identical twin. So were the twins a Daniel or Sanders?
