Mitchells in New Kent, 1700's

I am looking for any info on Mitchells that might have been in New Kent in this time period(1700-1800). They could have intermarried with the Alfords that were there at that time. They intermaried once in NC. My hunch tells me that they might have migrated together into NC, the Franklin/Wake Co area. My proven ancestor, Pemberton Mitchell born 1804 in NC is my brick wall. I suspect his father/grandfather or great-grandfather were from VA.
I also think that his father was John, Jr. and his great gradfather was a James. Since the Alfords came from this area, I thought to try to find a link here. If anyone sees something that might work, please respond.

Yes! Please! I have been at this brick wall for so long. I'll take anything that looks promising. There is a John Mitchell, Sr. and a Jr. Sr. died abt 1819 in Wake Co., NC. I am almost positive that they came from VA.

Thanks.
