looking for info on family of Sarah. Sarah married Silas Richardson in Spencer IN. From a letter written by her son William, I believe she has a brother named Thomas. Need to know who her parents were. thanks for any info.

Kris, I would love to have any ifo you may have on Sarah. She married Silas on 5/25/41 in Spencer IN. She was his 2nd wife. he married 1st to Mary Anderson. I do not know if Silas & Mary had any children. I do know that Sarah may have had a brother named Thomas Jones. I do not know who Sarahs parents are or who her siblings are. I do know that Silas is a son of John & Nancy Castleman Richardson. married in Nelson KY. Moved to Spencer abt 1816. Lived on a farm next to the Lincolns. I also have no info on the parents of John.
Sarah & Silas are my 2nd great grandparents They had a son named Silas who married Catherine Baker in Boone Co IN. They had a son named Fred Lee Milton Richardson who married 2nd Alma Kissee in Marion Co, IN. They had my father Jack Lee Richardson.

Hey Lynda Elliott we are related. My third great grandparents are the same as yours: John and Nancy Castleman Richardson. I am confused about where they are buried: One letter I have says they are in Pigeon Creek Cemetery, Spencer County, Indiana; however, the dates on those tombstones don't match up. Then I read they are buried in the Richardson Cemetery. Did you get pictures of the graves? Cynthia

I think John & Nancy are buried in the pigeon creek. but I have NOT been able to take the drive dwn & visit the cemetery. I hope to be able to take the drive sum time this summer & visit both cemeteries. So how are you related? I come from...John & Nancy had a son Sylas, who had a son sylas, who had a son Fred & then my father Jack.

I am so excited to connect with you!!! I have not put all the pieces together but this is what I know. I have old letters stating the Nancy Castleman Richardson from Spencer County is my ancestor. I also know for a fact that I am related to William H. Richardson who married and had a daughter who is Josephine (Richardson) Sprenger, my grandmother. I visited Rockport and went to the cemetery to see William H. Richardson's grave. It is listed on Find-A-Grave.com
