My name is Cheryle - I am looking for information on the Fonda name. My grandparents were from Fayette, MS (names, David Mildred Fonda) I have heard before that the Fonda name is Italian so we could be a branch off of Sam Fonda's lineage. Not really sure about anything but interested in knowing something of our roots. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is a book that explains the two sets of children by AC Fonda to his first wife and then his second. I came from the second bunch. Go to mark Fonda webpage too. If you cannot get the book there I can email it to you. Teh house is still standing (4/16/09).
