C. E. Thomas is son Clarence Elbert who died in Purdon 10 Dec 1974, mother was Carrie McSpadden. He is buried in Younger Cemetery in Navarro County, off Hwy 31 west of Silver City.

Moreta E. Slaughter, 92, of Corsicana passed away Friday, March 30, 2001 at Navarro Regional Hospital. Services will be 4 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with the Rev. B.F. Risinger officiating. Interment will follow at Younger Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jackie Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Ricky Thomas, Charles Peden, Hubert Slaughter and Carl York. I am researching Thomas' from Tippah & Union Co, MS who migrated to Ellis, Van Zandt, Kaufman & Henderson Co's around 1880-1900 and had collected this info because one of mine had a son named Waldon/Walton.
