My grandmother grew up in Cloverdale from about 1910-1925. I am planning a trip to New Mexico next summer. What can I expect to see in cloverdale? Any interesting places to go there? By the way, does anyone have any info on any Hughes that lived there at that time?

Cloverdale as it exists today would be considered a "ghost town". It was built as a farm/ranch town, and never had a population of more than about 200. Many Hughes families resided in Hidalgo county in the time frame you mention per census records-although it would have been Grant County pre-1919.
