Hi All

Am looking for the native name of John Hodgson's spouse .All I have known is ANN -native of the country
( possibly Cree ? )

Also looking for any info on his son James R.Hodgson also known as James Hudson who married Caroline Goodwin daugther of Robert Goodwin & Mistigoosh .

Also any info on Puckethwanisk , father to Mistigoosh and Wautchipuck .

Any help other than the HBC archives would be greatly appreciated .

Thx much

Mike another note- try the Champlain Society Collection at http://link.library.utoronto.ca/champlain/search.cfm?lang=en... and search on both Hodgson and Hudson as it is spelled both ways in different books.
Intersting reading.

Mike as in the second message one of the book on the Champlain collection is Colin Robertson's correspondence book, September 1817 to 1822 page 219-220 has a bio for John Hodgson born 1763 London- it is just one of quite a bit of information on the site in different books.
Mentions family but not who his wife was in that bio anyway.
Hope this helps
Carolyn

Wasn't Elizabeth the daughter of James (not John) Hodgson/Hudson and Caroline Goodwin?

I have her death as d. 2 Nov 1902 Fort Coulonge, aged 86 years.

Hi have you tried searching the Red River Ancestry.ca site? Click on ancestors index there you might find what you are looking for. I am linked to that family. If you come across a Elizabeth Ketchcksie or Ketchekesik spelled so many different ways.Born 1866 in York Factory and died 1943 in Kenora Ontario. Married to a Alexander Finlayson then to a Nicholas Finlayson. Any info would be appreciated. thanks
