I am willing to do gratus look ups in Strassburger's "Pennsylvania German Pioneers". The years are from 1727 - 1808. Please include the person's surname as well as given name(s). If interested, the 2nd volume of the 3-volume set includes many (but not all) signatures of the names listed in volumes 1 & 3. Please include your email address when sending inquiry as I keep a record of all requestors by email address (only those for which I've found information).

That's very generous of you. I am interested in finding out what ship my 5X great grandfather sailed on. I have a copy of his diary during the voyage, but he never once mentions the ship. I do know that he sailed from Amsterdam on September 6, 1771 and that he arrived in New York on on Jan. 14, 1772. His name was Johannes Heinrich Helfferich - may also be listed as John Henry Helffrich or some variation. Thanks very much for looking.

hello
You have written and said you did not find the name Bladel in your records. Do you know anything about “the Pittsburgh Bladels”.

Sorry, I show nothing on the BLADEL family in any of my Pennsylvania Archive collections. Could the name have been spelled differently?

This seems to be a rather old post, I hope you are still doing the research.

I have extensive Germans roots in PA. Can you find any details on these people. Sorry, I can't yet tell if some of them are German or not, but they married people of German heritage. All of them would be based in Berks County.
