looking for Bowman information connected to Nathan Oliver Bowman b: 25 Nov 1804 Kent Co. Delware d: 27 May 1872 Calloway Co. Ky.

Buried in the Bowman Cemetery at Murray. One son served in Company F, 1st KY Infantry, CSA, and then in Faulkner's 12th KY Cavalry, CSA, being captured; died in prison; body was shipped to Paducah to his wife's family but location of burial is lost. Another son served in Company F, 154th Sr. TN Infantry, CSA; died in the war, and buried in the family cemetery. Bowman was a Unionist during the war and served as Clerk of the Calloway Circuit Court during the war, having been placed in office by the Yankee invaders.

Bowman, Curtis C.: Born circa 1833 in KY; died from Erysipelas (an infectious disease of the skin) on December 11, 1864 while a POW at Johnson’s Island, OH; corpse sent to Paducah, KY; son of Nathan Oliver & Mary (Holley) Bowman; husband of Sarah Jane (Starr) Bowman; 1860 Hick. Co., KY, Census: bp. KY, age 27, merchant.
