Hi Cathy,
My wife's family has at least 2 branches of Klym's in her tree from the Ladywood/Brokenhead area. It is a community large in size, but small in population with many marriage connections that result in some complex links to sort out. I will see what I can do to help with your quest. Perhaps you could bring me up to date on your progress.

Regards,

Bob

Hi Pinestick,
I believe the families you mention in 1911 and 1916 Census records are the same family. But I am curious where you got the 1916 Census for Rm Brokenhead. It would be useful to me as I am looking for records that would fit into that time frame for RM Brokenhead. This Klym family was large and I have about 14 names of children, a couple of which I can trace to the 2000's. Any information you could provide would be appreciated.

Regards,

Bob

I just noticed your messages re:Klym families. My father's
maternal aunt, surname Tkacz, married a Klym in Kopychinsti,
Ukraine, formerly Kopyczynce, Galicia. At least one of their
sons immigrated to Wilkie. SK and later relocated to Montreal.
There might be a connection because I know of other families
from that village immigrated to the Brokenhead, Fraserwood,
Gimli area.Do you think there is a connection?

Most of the Klym (Klem/Klim/Klemm) family I have found in Ladywood/Brokenhead area came from Sucholwola, Brody, Galicia, and from what I have found and guessed at most seem to be related.

I know there are also a number of Klym in Gimili area, but I have not researched them as of yet.

Sorry I can't be of more help
