Walter Fiedura was my grand father, he died in 73. He lived in Philadelphia. He was born in 1903 in Poland (not 100%). As far as I know he did not have any siblings. He Married Stephanie buda (born 1910, philadephia) in 1941 and had 1 daughter named wanda (my mom). Walter's parents where Lukay Fiedura and his wife Estera Koziot. I'm looking for information on Walter's siblings or information on his parents.

David,
My great grandfather, Karol Rzucidlo, married Maryanna (Maria, Mary) Fiedura, -1907-1908, Chester, PA. Maryanna's sister, Josefa, came May 29, 1912, and brother, Walenty (16-18 yrs), also came. Josefa's name spelled Faiduna on Ellis Island manifest. Walenty's name also misspelled on manifest. Maryanna died 10/11/1918 in the Phila influenza epidemic. Karol and Maryanna had 6 children: Sophie, Sadie, Helen, Josephine, Stanley, and Carol. The name of Bak and Mis have come up as companions when travelling to America.
My great grandfather, Karol Rzucidlo, then married Elsbieta Feret Kmiec, 1919. Elsbieta came to the marriage with children Mary and Stanley. Elsbieta's husband John Kmiec died 11/11/1916. Karol and Elsbieta (Elizabeth) had Joseph, my grandfather, Laura, Genevieve, Frank, John, and Michael.
Josefa Fiedura possibly became a citizen 1942-1943. Maryanna, Josefa, and Walenty Fiedura, Karol Rzucidlo, and Elsbieta Feret all came from Swilzca, Poland.

Bernardine,
Thanks for the information. So, my grandfather Walter (walenty) had 6 nieces and nephews (Sophie, Sadie, Helen, Josephine, Stanley, and Carol)? My mom, Wanda, (walter's daughter) is not aware that she has cousins!!

Do you know what happened to Sophie, Sadie, Helen, Josephine, Stanley, and Carol?

Do you know what happened to Josefa?

bernardine,
Walter Fiedura is my grandfather, he married Stephanie Buda (also from poland) in 1940(?) in philadelphia. They had one daughter (my mother) named Wanda (born 2/27/1942). She married Joseph Antoniolli in 1963. They have three sons, Michael Antoniolli (b,3/26/1964), David Antoniolli (b:3/13/1965) and James Antoniolli (b:6/4/1968). Walter died December 20, 1973 (in philadephia). Stephanie Buda Fiedura died in march of 2003 (in ft. lauderdale, florida). Both walter and stephanie are buried in Hillside, Illinois.

Dave,
I don't know how much research you have done regarding your grandfather. As for Josefa, I recently looked at the Ellis Island immigration pages again and see that she possibly became a citizen in 1943. This can be confirmed by contacting the archives in Washington.
There is at least one picture of Maryanna and Josefa Fiedura with my grandfather and three of the six children. Stanley, the only son with Maryanna, died in a tank explosion during WWII and is buried in the tomb of the unknown soldier in Arlington. All the children except one have passed away within the last 10 years. I believe just one may still be living, but she would be in her 90's and living in a nursing care facility.
The Rzucidlo's including the children and grandchildren of Maryanna Fiedura and Karol get together once a year in August for a family reunion picnic.
Can you trace your grandfather through Ellis Island or any of the census data? I think it is important to establish that your grandfather is related to Maryanna and Josefa.

My grandmother (stephanie) only had one sister named Gunowetta born in 1912. Gunowetta never came to the US, she lived her entire life in Poland.
