Cynthia, In the early 1800's two brothers John and William Reburn got off of a flat boat in Uniontown, Ky. Even here our last name is constantly missed spelled. I do know that William and John or variations of them are commom Reburn first and middle names. My grandparents were listed in cemetary records with their name spelled Reyburn. I am a decendent of William. I don't know if there is any connection between your family and mine or not. Good luck in your search.

Re: Joseph Raborn, Edgefield District, SC
My GGGGGGrandfather was Joseph Rayborn, his son Anthony, his son Willis(married Sarah Farris), their son John, his son Marshall, his son my father James C. Raybon. Anthony & family moved from SC to Miss where Willis was born in 1811. I had originally thought Anthony's father was William but now know him to be Joseph. Am interested in Willis's family if you have any info...braybon@att.net

My great-grandfather, James Edward Raborn was either from Amite County or lived in Amite County. Not sure if there is a tie back to you or not. Do you show any James Edward's in your tree? Thanks!

I am researching a Willis Farris also. Am hoping that there is a connection with your Willis. My GGG grandfather Willis Farris was born abt 1813 in SC and moved to Lawrence County (western) Alabama. Listed on the same Census in 1840 is an Anthony Farris. Willis married Jane Collins (from TN) and they later settled in Winston County AL where they died in 1887 and 1888. I am looking for Willis parents or any info on where he was from in SC. Thanks, Gina.
