Theresa's siblings, is who I was referring to ... she had a sister Vi, who was married to Patrick
Corbin (
Pat) and had three brothers .. Wally (Wallace), Bill (William) and Charlie (Charles). The WISENs I knew/know are all from the Halifax area .. Halifax, Dartmouth,
Bedford and
Lower Sackville. My father's eldest sister was married to Charlie WISEN and my father's third eldest sister is married to
Pat Corbin's brother Ted. Charlie is dead .. not sure exactly when he died, but it was before July 1966 (this I know for sure). Pat is dead, I believe, but the last I heard, though some time ago, Vi was still alive but she does/did not know anyone. Uncle Charlie and my Aunt May (Mary Christine
WYATT) had 5 children, four of whom are still living and some have many grandchildren.
Although quite young (11years old, at my cousin's wedding in 1958) the last time I saw them, I remember Vi,
Wally and Bill very well. The latter two had small *camps* a few hundred feet from the farm I lived on. Both houses were still standing two weeks ago, when I was down in NS. They are located on the Cobequid Rd., Lower
Sackville. Vi was a good friend to my aunts and my mother, and my mother had met
Pat in Londonderry, Ireland during the war when they were both in the
Navy ... Mum was in the RN and
Pat in the RCN, but she did not know he and my father knew one another!
