Eugene Danford Porter died 2-28-1927 in Slagle, Wesford County.

If possible I would like to get burial information etc.

THanks
Mary Ellen

Here is some information, not much but hope it helps. I checked the Slagle township cemetery book and Eugene Porter is buried in plot 2-9 born 1850 died 1927. The stone is marked "husband". Elmer Porter is buried in plot 2-9 also, he was born 1899 and died 1919.

Find A Grave has no cemetery named Slagle Township Cemetery but there is a Section 16 Cemetery nearby. Could that be the name of the cemetery you are talking about.

There is a Selma Townhship Cemetery where other Porters are buried. Could that be the one?

Yes, I believe it is the Sixteen Cemetery. I looked it up at the library and by the time I got home to post the message I had forgotten which cemetery it was. I only remembered that I had looked in the Slagle Township book. I believe that Sixteen is the only cemetery in Slagle Township which is the Yuma, Michigan area.

The Porters in Selma Township are probably related to the ones in Yuma. There are still a lot of Porters living in the area around Cadillac.
