Hello Tina.
I do not know who Bessie
Richardson is to you, but she seems to have a really rich family history.
I located her obit, and also checked out the Town
Records of
Nottingham.
Not much in the town records:
Date of death: Feb. 14, 1944
Name: Betsie
Smith RichardsonAge at death:57
Bessie or Betsie's obit lists her as being :
Mrs. Frank
RichardsonHer obit says she died on a Sunday morning following a long illness.
Native of
ScotlandLived in Milton, NH, before moving to
Nottingham. Lived in
Nottingham for 25 years.
Her remains were placed in a
Northwood tomb.
There are a lot of fasinating details about her 4 sons, from her present marriage. No names were given, I think for surcuity reasons, they were serving in the
Navy.
The youngest son had turned 18 the same month his mother(Bessie) passed away.He enlisted in the
Navy and was scheldule to leave for duty.
Bessie had 6 sons and one daughter.
Her son from the previous marriage at the time of Bessie's death, had been in the
Navy for twelve years. His name is James
Lyall.
Her dauther from the previous marriage, Annie
Lyall married Richad
Horne and lives in Portland, ME. Her husband at the time of the obit, was in the armed forces.
I have made copies of the 2 obits and the town record. You can contact me at:

I live in
Nottingham,
