To my knowledge I don't connect with any of your other surnames, however most of my ancestors were in the Frederick County, Md. York/Adams Co, Pa area.

Would you please look up Hamilton Jefferson Fogle m Susannah Saunders and see if you see parents for either one of them? They were married in 1842. I think I have most information from their birth forward, but no parents.

Thank you
Pam

I've been doing genealogical research here in Frederick County for over 20 years and am as busy today as ever trying to find more of those elusive ancestors. On Fridays, I work as a volunteer at the library of the Frederick County Historical Society and am willing to make a QUICK search for those living in outlying areas. I cannot do your family history for you, however.
All of my names listed above go back to the early 19th or 18th Centuries. Looking for mutual help on any of them.

Pam, I do not, yet, have your Hamilton Jefferson Fogle andSusannah Saunders in my family file, however I can give you full birth dates for both. These came from Holdcraft's NAMES IN STONE. HJF b. 20 Aug 1816 d. 5 Feb 1896; SSF b. 4 Jul 1820 d. 26 Jul 1893. They are buried in Unionville Methodist Cemetery, Frederick County, MD There is also listed a daughter, Susannah, b. 15 Sep 1852 d. 29 Oct 1862.
Hope this is helpful.

Susie, I do not seem to have this couple in my FOGLE file. Perhaps I can look for them Friday when I go to the library. Paul

I am searching for a Henry Koons who lived in Frederwich county, Maryland in the 1700's.My great-great-grandfather Michal Koons 1801/02 - 1877 Medina county, Spencer township, Ohio (may be a descendent)of Henry. I have no supporting data to confirm this. I appreciate your efforts as a volunteer to gather genealogy data in your area. I am very new to this searching of my ancestrial tree. My father did not past any information on to his children. I am the last Koons in my generation, so I would appreciate any help. Thank You!

I have a Henry Koontz in my background. My info comes from a copy of a bio on Henry in the History of the Brethren in Maryland. Henry, son of Jacob, was born in Middletown Valley, Frederick Co., April 20,1792. Married Julia Whisman or Wissman Dec. 12, 1819. For a while they lived in Burkittsville and he was a wheelwright. He was raised a Methodist but joined the Brethren in 1839. Later he was elected to the ministry. They later moved to Mapleville, Washington Co., and lived out their lives there. I only know of one child- Henry Columbus Koontz- my ancestor. Surely there were other children but I've never come across them and they're not in either of two bios I have. This is a very abbreviated bio of Henry. If I can be of any further help let me know.

Thanks for the reply! Not much help at this point, however; Paul Fogle provided infomation that Philip Johan Henry Koons/Koontz arrived fron the Netherlands 1730, NJ to Frederick Co. A petition 1766 listed five children John, Abraham, George, Magdalena, and Anna. Any information on this Henry and his children may provide a link. Paul also provived info on Michael Koons who may have married a Anne Fox 1823. My questions- what ships name did Henry arrived on and its departure point. Is their a link between Michael and Henry's children.
Thanks very much. Wayne Koons
