Hi. You're probably looking for records of John Snider [or Johan Jost junior, German name], or senior, or Simon Snider [father] as the oldest one of the family that emigrated to Canada from New York in the aftermath of the American Revolution...they initially spelled their name "Schneider" and came to New York state from Germany around 1710...lots of documentation, I know that there's an Abraham [a great, great uncle, lots greater, actually] who settled north of Kingston, Ontario and raised a family quite far [for those times] from the original Loyalist land grants along Lake Ontario...best of luck in your search...Jamie Snider.
