I am trying locate any identifying information on my gg-gm, Charlotte JONES. She married 1843 in Canon Pyon, Herefordshire to William Rogers. According to the various census records, she was born about 1819-21 probably in Radnorshire.
The 1851 census gives her birthplace as Radnor, [?Inget -very hard to read]; the 1861 census gives her birthplace as Herefordshire Brinsop; the 1871 gives it as Radnorshire Watton; and the 1881 gives it as Radnorshire Old Radnor. In her marriage record in 1843, her residence was given as Wormsley, Herefordshire.

If anyone can make any sense of these places, or if you recognize Charlotte, I would be most appreciative.

As far as locations go,
The villages of Walton and Old Radnor are near neighbours. Both are in the Radnorshire Parish of Old Radnor. Which borders Herefordshire and is part of the Hereford Diocese.
Old Radnor Church records are I believe, at Hereford County Record Office.

Hi
I realise this message was a long while ago, but I wondered if you got to the bottom of this.
Charlotte Jones was my 3xgt grandmother (via her daughter Sarah b1855). I've also been confused about her origins, and I didn't really relish the thought of finding the right Jones on the welsh borders!
I'm building on the research my mum started 20 years ago and we were planning a little trip down to Canon Pyon in the next few weeks to try and track down some new leads!
Thanks,

Emma

Hi Emma,
This is Susan, Linda's sister, and we share this ancestry subscription. Sounds like we might be distant cousins. Charlotte was my 2nd great-grandmother, through her son George Rogers. Linda and I are away on holiday together right now, but I do have a bit more information at home. Unfortunately, I have not yet identified Charlotte's patents, but I have a couple of possibles, I think. If you email me at home at sneirish @ comcast . net (with no spaces), I'll send you back what I have. I will be back home tomorrow. Hope to hear from you.
Susan
