I am looking for information on two people. The first is Bobby Holsapple, born between 1920 and 1928, probably in Terre Haute. His father was Fred Holsapple of Albany, Clinton Co., KY, and his mother was Ruth McGinty, a school teacher. The parents split up before 1928, but I have reason to believe Bobby and his father settled in Greencastle or Reelsville. The second person is Peter Holsapple who was Fred's brother. Although Peter and his wife Ava Thrasher Holsapple died in New Castle in 1978, Peter applied for SS in Reelsville in 1952 and Ava applied for SS in Reelsville in 1962 with an address of RR #2. Charles Poe was a nephew to both Fred and Peter. His parents were Louis Asbury Poe and Florence (Flossie) Holsapple Poe. Charles likewise applied for SS in Reelsville in 1937 when he was 18 and died in Greencastle on May 29, 1971. Any help on any of these people would be greatly appreciated.

I was born in Reelsville in 1922. Pete Holsapple ran a general store in the town of Pleasant Garden which is about half a mile south of Reelsville on Rt.40.The name Poe is familiar but I can'r associate it with anyone at the moment but I may remember later.

Dear KEngelhardt, Thank you very much for your reply. I didn't know any of what you related in your reply, so it was all gold! Peter had a wife named Ava. Do you happen to recall about how long he ran the store?

In one of my books I have a picture of a store/filling station operated by Holssapple. If you think this fits into your history I will gladly mail it to you. Kitty Beck< shatara@cei.net>

Ms. Beck, It's got to be the same party. So, yes, I would certainly appreciate a copy of that photo. Also, what is the title of the book? Perhaps I can locate a copy at the local library (Dallas) which has a very large genealogy collection. Thank you for taking the trouble to reply. I will send you my addess by personal email.

Hi, I see this post is years old but wanted to reply anyway. My son and I found an aluminum coin with a saying on it; Fred Holsapple intrade good for 5cents. We are interested in knowing what this coin was for. If you have any answers or maybe know what it is we would be greatfully interested to know. Thank you in advance for sharing.
