I am not sure if there is any connection here or not but I have a Fred Southerland married to Martha "Mattie" Duvall. I also have a James Lewis Hudspeth b. 1885 m. Margaret "Maggie" Woods in Caroll Co, AR in 1906. James' parents were John Abraham Hudspeth and Josie Sanders. The Woods family and the Duvall family are connected by George Walter Duvall and Ida May Woods. George is the son of John Lafayette Duvall. All are from AR.

Robin, Martha " Mattie" Duvall was Fred's first wife, He married Pearl Hudspeth 3/6/1902. James Lewis Hudspeth was my grandmother's oldest brother. John Abraham Hudspeth and Josie Sanders were my great-grandparents, Josie died before my grandmother was 5 years old, Abe married Jane Keen Cane and they had Pearl. Hello. I saw your post. Josie Sanders and John Abraham Hudspeth are my great great grandparents. I have been searching for the parents and ancestors of Josie Sanders. I can't find anything. Someone has Daniel Sanders and Malinda Sanders as her parents in their family tree, but she said that has not been confirmed by her yet. That is her best shot. Do you know who they are or do you know any of her ancestors? Please let me know if you know anything on her.. My great grandmother is Lettie Jane Hudspeth who married Virgil Greek Harveston. Any one know anything about Josie's family?

There are Southernlands in both Lonoke and White County. My friend does research as a fund raiser for the local museum here in central Arkansas if you would be interested in something like that.

hello. I noticed that we have the same Grandparents. John Abraham Hudspeth and Josie Sanders. I have been looking forever for josie's parents. Some family trees say that Josie's parents are Daniel and Malinda Sanders. They are all from the Cooweescoowee Cherokee Territory in Oklahoma. I have nothing to prove that. Do you have any proof that Daniel and Malinda Welch Sanders are Josie's parents? Also, Malinda's father is George Welch and her mother is Katie. Hope that helps. I sure hope you know something about our grandparents. Bev
