I am trying to find a baptism record for John Garrett born around 1866. He is buried at Gravel Hill cemetery and the family attended Gravel Hill baptist church. I cannot find a phone number for the church that has not been disconnected. I am hoping to find John's parents. He married Effie B Garner in 1889 and they are both buried at Gravel Hill cemetery. My understanding is that he had several brothers and they are all buried close to him... but I cannot locate the gravestone, even with a picture of it. I have walked the cemetery several times without any positive results. Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you thank you!!

The Arkansas History Commission Library, located on the 2nd floor in the north building behind the capitol building has a large collection of church records on microfilm. I have been able to find some baptism records for my ancestors there. They are open Mon-Sat. The Research Room is open from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.,
