THEY LEFT GERMANY IN 1886 AND SETTLED IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, USA. HIS PARENTS MAY HAVE BEEN JOHN BURDT AND MARIA TUPPEL. I AM LOOKING FOR DESCENDANTS OF THIS FAMILY AND OTHER BURDT'S.

I see a Henry and Wilhelmina Leithe, ages 26 and 22
in Washington Co., IL in the 1860 Census.

Where is Butte, Iowa, what county? I can't seem to find
any of them in IA. Also what are the approx dates of birth
of the wife and kids? What is your certainty of the dob of
Henry b 1832 and when did he die? Do you know if Henry
was born in Germany, did they have all kids in the U.S.?

Here is what I know
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Luth came to this country from Germany. Mr. Luth was Wihelmina Willhelm before she married some where in Iowa. They then went to Butte ( I thought Iowa, but maybe it is Nebraska)in about 1902. They had six children that I know of: Anna who married a Johnson, Henry, August, Emil who married Christina Russ, Harry,Charles who married Estella they were married Dec 18, 1912. This about all I really know.....Thank you

The Luth family was from Butte, Nebraska not Iowa. Charles is my husbands grandfather. They are buried in Butte. I haven't worked on the history for a while but am back at it now. I believe I have pictures of most of the children of Henry.
