would appreciate an obit lookup for Mollie A Wint who died Sept 12 1971 in Lebanon Oregon and is buried in the IOOF cemtery at Lebanon

The Linn County, Oregon Historical Museum, co.linn.or.us/museum/genealogy/index.htm provides copies of obituaries for a reasonable fee. Successful Searching!

thanks I will try that Had checked about getting reels inter library loan and checking for obits myself, but unlike other states that charge little or nothing, the state of oregon charges 30.00 per reel.

You would not be able to get that Linn County obit from the Oregon archives in any event. They don't have newspapers. The state library has a limited selection of newspaper archives that I don't think includes the right paper for this obit. The University of Oregon is the only place that has a complete Oregon newspaper archive. You probably know all this but in case you don't.

The Linn Co. historical society is a good resource, as mentioned. The Albany city library was very helpful to me when I wanted an obit from there so that's another resource. The librarian got all into trying to find the obit I wanted, spent a lot of time and effort to find an obit that evidently did not exist.

Mollie A. Wint's obituary was published in the Albany Democrat-Herald on Sept. 13, 1971, p. 9.

A more detailed obituary for Mollie Wint was published in the Sept. 16, 19971 issue of the Scio Tribune, Scio, Oregon. A copy is attached.
