Hello Tara, Thank you for your time and efforts. The person I am looking up information on is a Jesse Wall(s)who is seen in Etowah County near Bethel or Duke .I believe he was born about 1789 in North Carolina....I am trying to find out if he is the father of John Mark Walls, who is seen as Mark Walls in the 1850 census. They also appear in Benton/Calhoun Co. The son of John Mark is married in 1881 in Hoke's Bluff, Etowah County, his name was Thomas Robert Wall. best to Tara, Paula pfabionar@yahoo.com

Billy Craig, Thank you! please e-mail me at pfabionar@yahoo.com.....You mention the Kansas area of Green County Arkansas..Would that be a town?
This is great information. My male line DNA is uploaded to the JohnWall.com site under Mack Wall.
My known ancestor is the MArk Wall (John Mark Wall), and like you said his parents are from North Carolina.
We are looking at this connection, due to the dna results: In any event it seems now that there is a clear line, from Joseph Wall (Surry VA.) to son James to son John as husband of Sarah Wall (see will of Sarah and John of Halifax/Edgecombe). Not totally proven that John son of James is the same John who bought land in Edgecombe, but seems almost certain. This land finally is sold by Jesse, son of John, son of Sarah. Question now about John Wall and Sarah's son Henry: There was a Mark Wall buying land in 1770. Any chance he is Mark Henry? Or he may be son of Henry, along with William, John etc. (the extra Walls in Wake Co., that do not appear to be sons of Arthur, Arthur is son of Sarah) John could either be the one who married Scarborough, or the one who went to Wythe Co. I think the latter, and the William who said he was distantly related to John, seems most likely to be through Joseph's son, John. Thanks to Lee Bain for his research here...from Paula Fabionar

Hello Billy Craig!
I just saw this post you wrote in 2006.
Thank you for this information. Mark Wall of the Joseph Wall/Pittman (Surry Co. VA)was born about 1738. Mark is on the Nash County NC census aged about 100 in 1830!
His sons Jesse and David went to Alabama. Jesse was born about 1789 in Nash NC. Jesse's brother David had Alfred in Jackson County Alabama.. Jesse , in about 1818,had son John Marcus Wall(s) called "Mark Wall"
who appears in Greene County Arkansas and is buried there
at the Mount Zion Baptist cemetery north of Jonesboro. I went to a reunion there!!Jesse also had sons Allen , Passon,
and perhaps others, maybe William or Edward. My grandmother descends from Thomas Robert Wall, son of John Marcus Wall(s). Thomas went to Hokes Bluff about 1880 to settle the estate of his grandfather, we assume this is Jesse Walls who dies about 1788 or therabouts. Please e-mail me!!
Warm Personal Regards
