According to the 1850 Census the people below were living in Panola County. All I can find is that they were buried in a private cemetery and wondered if there was anyway to find them.

W C Maxwell b. 1809, d 1871 in near Longtown, Panola, MS. His wife b. abt 1808, d bet 1871 - 1880 same town.

Also found one of his 8 children Ellen E Maxwell-Whitlock or Whitcock b. 1833 d 1859. Found one comment saying she was buried in a private cemetery PPC P 282 but no clue what it means.

Looking for any information of daughters of William C Maxwell, Captain of Peach Creek Rangers.

I found a J A Polk age 30, Lawyer from TN and dau age 2 in the Panola City, Panola Census for 1870. A bit hard to ready but has initials that could be S L E. I wonder if this could be the infant child in your message.

I am so sorry for the late reply. I am still looking for the Maxwell family. You replied long ago about some of them and where they are buried. Is there anyone in the area who would take pictures of their headstones? I would be happy to pay their cost.
I am sure William and his wife are buried somewhere near the children.
