Hi, my name is Alton Rabon and I'm searching for information connected with John Henry Rabon who was married to Melley Shelly or it may be spelled Mellie Shellie. Melly was from Marion County and John was from Horry County.
Thanks, Alton

Alton,
I have heard these names before; however, I am not familiar enough with the individuals to give you much information.
If you haven't already, I would highly suggest that you check out the Stumphole Martins of the Little Pee Dee website (part of RootsWebs WorldConnect Project). It includes a great deal of information about many surnames, including Rabon. Hope this helps.
Respectfully, Kathy J. Rabon

John Henry Rabon was married to Mattie Larrimore Rabon and had children named Raeford, John Richard, Betty, Danny, Sandra and Cheryl (or Sheryl?). John Henry was my mother's brother. My mother's name was Ella Jane Rabon Johnson.

Thanks for the photo, I have this photo along with several of her children who are buried beside her. You have any idea where her parents may be buried?

I was just about to post two more photos of their infants, but it sounds like you already have this info. I have inquired on another thread about an infant child they had named Tempie Rabon. I have a copy of the death certificate for this one. Do you? I can send it if you wish. Just let me know.
I don't know anything about her parents. But I'll let you know if I come across anything.

Your Dad Raeford was my first cousin. He and my brother, Junior Johnson was best friends until they both joined the service at the age of 18 or 19. do you live in Columbia? The last time I saw your mother and dad was in Columbia probably back in 1959 or so. I lived in Columbia for a while and was married there in 1960 and moved to Florida.
