William G. Fording, beloved husband of Nancy C. (Rauch); dear father of Robert (Laura) of Columbus, Susan Naso (Bill) of Amherst and Janet Smith (Patrick) of Avon Lake; grandfather of Kim, Zac, Ben, Danny, Tony, Jake, Christie and Becca; brother of Sue Leveque and Becky Bentley, both of Fl.; dear son-in-law of Catherine Rauch. Died Sept. 21, 2001. Family suggests contributions to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cleveland, 6920 Union Ave., Cleveland, Ohio, 44105. Memorial service will be held at Bay United Methodist Church, 29931 Lake Rd., Bay Village, Monday, Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. Malloy Memorial and Crematory.

Bill was the son of Donald Roy Fording ( born 16 DEC 1909 in Cleveland, Ohio, and died 28 Jan.1972 in Lakewood, Ohio. and Rebecca Eleanor Henderson
Donald Roy was the son of William Griffith Fording I, whom Bill was named after. He was born 29 Aug 1877 in Alliance, Ohio and died 3 Mar 1963 in Westlake, Ohio. and Elsie Wilhelmina Trinkner, born 28 Dec 1883 in Cleveland, Ohio and died 11 Jan 1958 in Westlake, Ohio.
William G. the 1st was the son of Leander Fording, born 31 Mar 1836 in Lisbon, Ohio, and died 22 Dec 1917 in Alliance, Ohio. He was married to Hattie Griffith.

I have been researching the Fording line. Isaac's parents are Thomas Fording and Esther Ewan. I am including a link to the Fording message board. It's detailed out a little better. I know some people you can contact if you want more info on the Fordings. Isaac worked for the Railroads all his life and died in Toledo, Ohio 16 Mar 1896.
