HE WAS BORN IN AR..1845. SO IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN HIS FATHER,OR GRANDFATHER.......?

MY GRANDMOTHER WAS BORN 1880,2ND FROM THE YOUNGEST CHILD..PASSED IN 1980.
SHE DRESSED AS A INDIAN,ALSO WAS WHAT MANY CALL ,A MED.WOMAN .

There was no one named "Bohannan" on the last Cherokee roll taken three years before the Trail of Tears, and none shown on the first roll taken in Indian Territory after their arrival. The Trail did not terminate in Arkansas.

The family should be shown on the U.S. census of AR.

My grandmother Ethel Wages told me that my great grandfather was a Cherokee Chief - named Billy Buck Bohannan. I have always wanted to know more info but nobody seems to have anything else to tell. Ethel has lived in the Seattle/Tacoma for many many years and currently resides in a nursing home. I would love to learn more and see if we are distant relatives. I hope to hear back from you.
