I am looking for any information - for a Herman Tackenberg & Dora Kliest who had a daughter Louise born in Germany 6/17/1866 - and settled in Huntington, New York married a William Ludemann. Anything would be appreciated. I am trying to find out anything about my ancestors and their background. Thank You

I'm not sure that I'm being of any help here at all. I can only tell you that my family goes back for several generations in the Long Island and Queens NY area. My father's name was Edward William Tackenberg. He grew up in Astoria, Queens, born in 1929. His father was Edward Lawrence Tackenberg born in 1902, I believe. Hi Paul, The only information I have is that Dora Kliest was married to Herman Tackenber and they had a daughter Louise Ludemann and Louise Tackenberg was married to William Ludemann had a daughter Annie Elsie Moe - They lived in Huntington New York around the 1900's and came from Germany. My father Joseph Tackenberg was born in 1921 in New York. I believe they were related. My grandmother had a store in Astoria, a soda shop. My father remembers a uncle Paul, Edward and a Lawrence he thinks.
