I am looking for any information on the Schmale family that lived on a farm in Accident, Maryland. Their names were Henry, Elizabeth with several children including Conrad, Catherine and Dorothea.

There is a Conrad Schmale (1866-1942) and a Susanna Schmale (1885-1976) buried at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Accident. Also, an Infant son of C and S Schmale (1922-1922) is also buried there. Hope this information might be helpful to you.

In looking through some information today about my husband's family I found that the Ludwig(Kehl)Kahl family left Germany in March 1871 and they traveled with the Henry (Schmehl) Schmale family. Henry Schmale was a first cousin of Katherine (Lantz) Kahl - wife of Ludwig. They came by ship to Baltimore. Hope this might be helpful. My husband tells me that his Grandmother - Babara (Kahl) Miller often went into town to visit with Mrs. Susanna Schmale.
