I started to read this string because I had corresponded with Linda Johns, but found some material of interest in your postings. Is that serendipity?
I'm researching the family of Jacob Hutts and his four sons (Jacob, Jr., Leonard, Michael and William) who lived in Virginia in the mid 1700's. Do you have any information on them?
Also saw the name Harmon in one of your postings. The Hoots family has lived on Harmon Creek in what is now Yadkin County for over 200 years. Any connection?
Enjoyed your comments and those of others above.
Four years later, I finally read your post.
I'm sorry, it was not as a reply to mine so, I didn't get a notification. (but, sometimes I don't get them, anyway.)
You mention Linda Johns... I have a Johns line in Pittsylvania, VA.
I don't know any of the Hutts you mention but, I am also a Harmon descendant of the area up and down the Shenandoah Valley of VA.
Odd, isn't it?
I'M TRYING TO VERIFY IF JACOB HUTTS IS THE FATHER OF MY MICHAEL HUTTS BORN 1759 MARRIED IN 1792 TO SUSANNA OWENS???????? GOT ANY ANSWERS FOR ME THANKS KATHY
I have been researching Jacob Hutts of Va. who has sons Jacob, Leonard, Michael and William. We are trying to connect this to Jackson Duckson who married Nancy Hutts in Bedford Co., Va. I do know Jacob and Leonard were in Rev. War but need to connect Michael and William.
