I'm looking for a William Paul Kyte that would be about 84 years old, if still alive. He was born in Alabama, served in the Air Force, was stationed at Wurtsmith Air Force Base in Oscoda, MI in 1953 (the year I was born), divorced left about 1954 or 1955. I think he was born and raised in Huntsville Alabama. He was married prior to being married to my mother. There was a daughter from that marriage also. On my birth certificate it states that he was 38 at the time of my birth. If anyone knows any information on him, please let me know. I am very interested in finding him AND my half-sister if possible.

I knew a William Paul Kyte from Alabama. He was in the Air Force. He has several children though. He died several years ago in Texas.

That was my father. I made contact with an aunt who gave me quite a bit of information. She had been married to his brother, Junior Kyte, who has also passed away. She was kind enough to send me pictures of my siblings, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. If you get this and wouldn't mind, I'd like to talk to you about him. I never knew him. Thank you for responding. I wish I had seen this sooner.

Yes I knew Junior Kyte. I live in the same town he did. I also live in the town where Paul and his parents are buried.

William Paul and my mother had a short and, unfortunately, unhappy marriage. They divorced when I was about 1-1/2 - 2 years old. All that I know about him came from Mary's letters and what I've gotten from documents. I would like to know what he was like as a person - did he like to hunt and fish, play cards, take in a movie on a Saturday night, belong to a church, etc., ... the things that make up a person's life.

Mary said that I have cousins in Flint, Michigan - about a 4 hour drive from where I live. They wanted to meet me last summer and I wasn't sure what to do. But, I believe I'll call them and make plans to meet them some time soon. I also know that I have other half-siblings aside from Pat, I believe that is her name (going on memory). I was surprised to hear just how many.

It is unfortunate that the two of us didn't get acquainted while he was alive. But, I hope to at least know of him from his family and friends.

I hope that you'll agree to talk with me through e-mail and help me learn about my father.

Just wanted to say hi and to let you know that I received your last message. Have you to talked to Pat? I was able to meet her for the first time at our dad's funeral. I also met Lana another one of his children. I don't know if I mentioned I have a twin sister as well. He also has a son named John. Seems he got around. Talk to you soon.

Mary (Aunt Mary) told me that Paul had a set of twins, one was named Geraldine. I remember that because that was my mother's name as well. You must be one of his twin daughters since you said "our" dad's funeral. That is fantastic! I can't tell you how excited I am. No, I haven't talked to Pat. I don't know how to reach her. I was going to call Mary last night and can't find her last letter.
