I recently purchased two old photos in an antique store in Peoria, Ill. One is of a young man with the name Scott Kneff written on the back. The other is of an older couple with the name H. Kneuff written on the back. Both pictures were from Dayton, Washington. If you recognize these names and are interested in the pictures, please contact me. The Kneff's from Dayton, Washington are relatives. My guess is the Scott picture is Winfield Scott Kneff. The other picture may be his older brother Henry Kneff. The Washington Kneff's lived in Peoria, Illnois for several years.

I also am interested in finding something on the Kneff lineage as I was born Diana Kneff. I know that my grandfather came from Dayton, Washington, and his name was Omer Earl Kneff. But I know very little beyond that aside from the fact he was from some part of Germany. Some of my family came from England. I'd like to know more.

Hi Nancy. If you are related to the Kneffs in Dayton, Washington, then we are both related because that is where my family is from. Sometime in the 1950s Omer Earl Kneff moved to Spokane, WA with his wife Millicent and two sons, Zane and Mikel. Mikel is my father.

Your Omar Earl Kneff's DOB 1916 father, Willis Earl Kneff (1874-1953)was the brother of Cora Elizqabeth Kneff(1867-1935 Our Grandmother). It would be interesting to share information.
