My grandmother's name is Louise Hofmann. We think she was born in/raised in Rocky Mountain, N.C. or Mt. Airy, N.C. We know nothing of her parents. We know she had a brother named Earl Hofmann and that Earl married a woman named Vivian. Does any of this sound familiar? Thanks!

Unfortunately, it isn't the same Louise Hofmann. My grandmother married a Milton Todd and they had four children, three boys and one girl. Thank you so much for responding!

G. Phil Hofmann
I am also searching the Hofmann Family. The G Phil Hofmann
you are searching was born November 15 1852 and died
June 4, 1953 and is buried in Zion Cemeteryin St. Louis
County, MO. He immigrated to this country in 1870 when he was 18 yrs. old. He married Louisa Schwartze September 3, 1874. This is not my great grandfather; however, he is probably my great or great-great uncle. My great grandfather was Phil Hofmann born about 1823. He died in
1882 and is buried in St. Peters Cemetery, St. Louis County, MO. You can obtain a copy of the death certificate for G Phil Hofmann at State of Missouri Archives. They
have the digital form and can print a copy at no charge.
Just key in "Missouri State Government", then click on
Government, then Click on Executive Branch, then click on
the Archives, then click on the SOS and you will be able to bring up the 1920-1958 Death Certificate page. I also
found the marriage record in Ancestry marriate file. I hope this was helpful for you. Laverne Blattner
