CHARLES DuVERNET DYKEMAN (s/o Gilbert Currey (Currie?) and Frances Ruth (Harrt) Dykeman) b. Upper Jemseg, Cambridge Parish, Queens Co., NB 13NOV1850 (in 1901, ca. 1851, d. Jemseg, Cambridge Parish, Queens Co., NB 23JAN1916 age 65 years, buried Jemseg, Cambridge Parish, Queens Co., NB , m. 1st CORDELIA B. COTTLE (b. ca. 1856, d. Jemseg, Queens Co. NB 13FEB1879 age 23 years), eldest d/o N. Bradbury and Phoebe Cottle; m. 2nd Brussells St. Baptist Church, Saint John, Saint John Co., NB 3NOV1886 EUPHEMIA BARBOUR (BARBARA) (E.?) BROWN (b. 14AUG1853; m. 1st _____ McDonald), youngest d/o W. H. BROWN.
They were in Jemseg, Queens Co. NB in 1879 when their only child, Arthur W. Dykeman, d. 27FEB1879 age 14 months.
In 1881, in Cambridge Parish, Queens Co., NB, Charles Dykeman (30), lived with Bradbury (46) and ‘Phebe’ (52) Cottle, apparently his parents-in-law.
In Cambridge Parish, in 1871, Charles D. Dykeman (20), lived with Gilbert C. (49) and ‘Francess’ R. (48) Dykeman. The family was Dutch (a reference to early, colonial New York) and Frances was Welsh. Siblings were Libitson? L. (Tillitson Libby, son. 18), Alonzo T. (16), ‘Clarance’ D. (14), ‘Marinda’ J. (12) and Aaron Milbeg? (10). Elsewhere, Gilbert is Deacon G. C. Dykeman. Tillitson’s death record (26MAY1852-4APR1927) gives his mother as Phoebe R. Harrt. Gilbert C. Dykeman (28MAY1821-12JUN1884) is buried in the Dykeman Family Cemetery, Queens Co., NB. ‘Francis’ R. (1823-1911) is buried with him.

One might point out that Cordelia Cottle's mother was Phoebe Ann Dykeman, first cousin to Charles DuVernet Dykeman. Nathaniel Bradbury (N.B.) Cottle, b. 23-Oct-1835, Waterborough Parish, d. 01-Jan-1903, Saint John. He was son of Nathaniel B. Cottle (perhaps, then, a Jr., but I cannot confirm the elder Nathaniel's middle name). and Frances Lawson Lounsbury.
