I have hit an early dead end on the family line of my great-great grandparents who lived in New Orleans, LA.

Looking for any info on the father of Joseph E. Allen (b. abt 1860, d. 27 Dec 1909 married to Marie Isabella Alvarez) named John (from Ireland?) married to Mary Selina Henry from Mass.

Also, any info on Isabella Alvarez (b. 7 Mar 1868, d. 1955) and her ancestors (only have name for father...Pierre/Peter Alvarez married to Julia Pellane ?).

Thanks so much. I have most this information. I got stalled on finding more about the parents of Isabella and Joseph other than names and approximate birth and death dates. I can't seem to figure out who Pierre and Julia were and who their parents were or who John and Mary Selina Henry were and who their parents were.

Someone suggested this morning that I order death certificates for Isabella and Joseph and that I might find more info there. I will place that order tomorrow. Otherwise, any clues where to look from here are greatly appreciated.
