I am serching for information on Andrew Barclay and his wife Maria Riddell who lived in Banff. Andrew was "servitor" to Patrick, XV11 Laird of Tolly. He was born around 1570 and had (at least) two sons, John and Peter Barclay who became silk merchants in Rostock in 1621.

The family later moved to Riga and became Barclay de Tolly.

I would be very grateful for any help.

Canadian Pacific built a series of grand hotels along the rail line and advertised the Banff Springs Hotel as an international tourist resort.
