Surnames: Heise
My direct ancestor, Martin Heise 1760-1867, is listed in your family tree as a Revolutionary War "hero"--but I have no evidence of that. Secondly, he is listed as coming from Germany, but my sources say he was born in Baltimore. In other respects--his oldest son George (my ancestor also) who moved to southern Ohio--south of Columbus, Circleville--these tally with my evidence. Wonder if we can check our mutual sources I would like him to be a hero, of course...

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately I do not have any additional information beyond the 1905 Fulton Co., OH history citation. Good luck in your research on your family.
