In 1809 my ancestor, Elias Bragg, married Mary BRYANT in Buckingham County, Virginia. I have no idea who her parents were but there are some clues. In 1782 John Bragg, father of Elias was a near neighbor in Fluvanna County VA to a Sylvanus and William BRYANT. There was a Sylvanus BRYANT in Nelson County in 1810, and also a Dabney BRYANT. My ancestors Elias and Mary BRYANT Bragg named a son Dabney Bragg. I would like to learn the parents of Mary BRYANT Bragg or anything on her family. Mary BRYANT's daughter Elizabeth married John J. Moore and moved to Lewis County, WV Elias and family moved to Knox County Illinois and left deswcendants there also.
Thank you very much for your help.

I don't know if there's a connection, but I thought I would mention that my ancestor, Henry K Bryant (born about 1814) of Buckingham County had a brother named William. Their parents were Reuben Bryant and Sallie Amos. I'm sorry at this point I don't know much else about these folks although I do have information about my Henry K Bryant's service in the civil war. I just wanted to mention to you that your William was born around the time that my Henry was and Henry's brother was named William

Hi, looking for information on a Margaret Allen Moore, wife of Alkana/Elkana Moore a resident of Knoxville, Illinois.
She was a sister to James Allen who married Sarah Bragg.
By chance you know of them. Thanks.
