Looking for information on Grover Cleveland PAYNE, his wife, and children. He was born 17 Nov 1884 in Caldwell Co., NC, the son of Henry Wilson PAYNE and Sarah Emma HAYES. In 1889 the family moved to Collin Co., TX. Grover died in Creek Co., OK on 9 Oct 1961 and is buried in South Heights Cemetery there. His wife was Era O. BURKETT, born 1889 in TX, died 7 Jul 1947 in Creek Co., and she is also buried at South Heights. They had the following know children:

(1) Ferris Marie PAYNE, born ABT 1911 in Collin Co., TX.

(2) Mannon Eleanor PAYNE, born 31 Mar 1915 in Collin Co., died 17 Feb 1985 in Tulsa, OK. Married J. Clyde STAIGER, born 6 Jan 1906, died 5 Jan 1974. Both are buried at South Heights Cemetery, Creek Co.

(3) Tacie Ruth PAYNE, born 30 Jun 1918 in Collin Co., died 28 Aug 1982 in CO. Married Earl Thomas PETERSON, born 27 Sep 1914, died 13 Aug 1998. They are buried at Green Mountain Cemetery, Boulder, Boulder Co., CO.

(4) Helen Rae PAYNE, born ABT 1935 in Creek Co., OK.

Any information on these folks would be appreciated.

Do you happen to know who Helen RAE and Ferris PAYNE married? My records only show four children; is this correct? I have extensive information on this family in North Carolina and have written two books on the Paynes.
