Jasper Bailey (b. abt 1837) married Barbara Ball in Greene Co. They had a son, Daniel Buell Bailey, b. 7/28/1862 in Baileyton. Question: Who were Jasper Bailey's and Barbara Ball's parents? If Jasper's father's name was Andrew, which Andrew was he and when was he born? Who was Andrew's father and mother? Is this the family of John Thumby Bailey V? Where would I find this info? Helen

I appreciate all of you that wrote me about the 1850 census online for Greene Co. We have found mistakes (p.260, part A, family 1796, English) in this publication, as in any census, and am afraid to use it other than as a guide. Perhaps Jasper Bailey really did marry Barbara Linebaugh, instead of Barbara Ball. Maybe I can't trust the information on his death certificate either, as that info is only as good as what the informant knows. I wish birth certificates on people born in 1837 were available.
